Congratulations, Sister Mary Angelus on 70th Jubilee!
Mary Gabrielle entered Mount Saint Rita’s Convent in September 1944. She received her habit in 1945 and made her First Profession in 1947. Sister Mary Angelus took Final Vows as a religious Sister of Mercy on August 16, 1950.
Beginning in 1947, Sister Angelus taught hundreds of first grade students at St. Mary’s, North Attleboro, Immaculate Conception, St. Matthew’s, St. Augustine’s in Newport, and finally at St. Peter’s, where she served as a teacher and Principal from 1966 to 2000.
Since her retirement, Sister Angelus continues to serve the people of St. Peter’s parish in the ministry of the elderly.
God, indeed, has graced us all by placing Sister Mary Angelus
in our presence.
Thank you, Sister Angelus, for your devoted ministry to all of us. May God continue to bless you with more happy and healthy years of ministry!
