Fortnight for Freedom Prayer Breakfast

"The fourteen days from June 21—the vigil of the Feasts of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More—to July 4, Independence Day, are dedicated to a “fortnight for freedom”— a period of prayer, education and action in support of religious freedom...."

"In response to the Bishops’ call to action in defense of the threats to religious freedom both at home and abroad, the Catholic faithful and others who support the constitutional right of freedom of religion are invited to a Mass with Bishop Thomas J. Tobin as celebrant and homilist on Wednesday June 20, 7:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence followed by Prayer Breakfast in the Cathedral Hall. Dwight Duncan, a professor from the University Of Massachusetts School of Law, will share a brief reflection on how religious freedom from government control is our first freedom and comes first in the First Amendment. This event is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend.  Free parking available.
