Catholic Schools Week 2023
Dear Parishioners,
For almost sixty-four years our parish has provided the opportunity for our children to receive a Catholic Education. The need for a faith-based education continues to be an important priority for me, as pastor of this parish.
Our annual school week Mass will be on Sunday, January 29th at 11:00 AM. Students and their families will be attending this Mass along with staff and teachers. An open house at the school will follow this Mass. You are invited to visit the school and register your children for the fall of 2023. Please call 781-9242 if you have any questions.
St. Peter School continues to be a model of education during these times of cultural shifts and political and social challenges to moral and religious values. It is our Catholic Schools that continue to share the light and truth of the gospel as part of the daily curriculum.
Faith-based education is the only way to change the present climate of racism, anti-Semitism, fake news, lies, and ignorance of the events and the consequences of our history. The teachings of Jesus and his church provide the means for us to truly understand that peace must be built on justice and mutual respect for the dignity and sanctity of every human life.
Within our school community, our children are taught how to think critically, learn from their mistakes, take pride in their achievements, and given a moral compass to follow throughout their lives.
I am so proud and grateful to our dedicated faculty and staff who have worked very hard to provide our children with the best faith-based educational experience. They continue to be a source of inspiration for me and our community.
